About HomelabOS
HomelabOS is a control panel that automates the setup of a private server infrastructure on a single Linux machine. It bundles Docker containers with Ansible playbooks to let you spin up common self-hosted apps like Nextcloud, Plex, or Bitwarden without manual configuration. The project targets people who want a home lab but don't want to piece together every component by hand.
It runs on Ubuntu or Debian and uses Traefik for reverse proxying, Let's Encrypt for TLS certificates, and a YAML configuration file to define which services you want. The system handles DNS, storage mounts, and user accounts. You can add or remove services through a simple web interface or by editing the config file directly. HomelabOS supports over 40 pre-built service roles.
