Heimdall

Heimdall is a dashboard application that organizes bookmarks and links into a customizable, tidy grid for self-hosted services.

About Heimdall

Heimdall acts as a personal start page for your home server or homelab. Instead of remembering IP addresses, port numbers, or long URLs, you drop all your web-based services into a single dashboard. The interface presents your apps as tiles, each with a label and an icon, making navigation fast and visual.

It runs in a Docker container provided by LinuxServer.io, which means deployment is straightforward on any Linux system with Docker installed. You can add unlimited applications, organize them into categories, and even set custom colors and background images for each tile. Heimdall also supports sub-items for services that have multiple admin panels or related tools. The project is open source under the MIT license and stays actively maintained by the LinuxServer community.

Heimdall is best for homelab enthusiasts and small teams who want a centralized, aesthetically pleasing way to access all their self-hosted tools. It does not include monitoring, resource usage graphs, or server management features. It is purely a dashboard launcher. No paid tiers or premium features: the whole thing is free and open source.
