About grocy

Grocy is a self-hosted ERP system for your home, built to help you track what you actually have in your pantry, fridge, and freezer. It manages shopping lists, tracks expiration dates, and suggests meals based on available ingredients so you waste less food and money.

The app runs on any Linux server with PHP and MySQL/SQLite. It handles barcode scanning via a mobile-friendly interface, lets you define your own product groups, and generates shopping lists from meal plans. Chore and task scheduling with calendar integration is built in. The project is maintained by Bernd Bestel and has an active community on GitHub.

Grocy is ideal for anyone running a home server who wants practical inventory and meal planning without subscription fees. It is fully open source under the MIT license, so you can extend it or integrate it with other tools like Home Assistant or grocery delivery APIs.
