Firezone is an open-source zero-trust access platform that replaces VPNs with WireGuard-based tunnels managed from a web dashboard.
About Firezone
Firezone gives you a web-based control panel to manage secure remote access to your infrastructure. Instead of configuring OpenVPN or IPSec, you get a clean dashboard where you define policies, add users, and connect sites using WireGuard. It runs on your own server, so you keep full control of your network traffic and authentication.
The platform supports SAML, OIDC, and Google Workspace for single sign-on, plus it can sync users from SCIM directories. You can create split-tunnel or full-tunnel VPNs, restrict access by source IP or DNS, and view real-time connection logs. The underlying technology is WireGuard with a Linux kernel module, which means fast throughput and low overhead. Firezone provides native clients for Linux, macOS, and Windows, and it exposes a REST API for automation.
