About Dropserver

Dropserver is a control panel that lets you run multiple web applications on one server, each in its own isolated environment. It handles app deployment, updates, and resource management so you don't have to configure each app manually. The system uses containers to keep apps separate, making it easier to manage a small fleet of personal or client projects from a single machine.

Apps are deployed via Git or the Dropserver command line tool, and each one gets its own domain, environment variables, and process management. The panel runs on Linux and supports Node.js applications out of the box, with plans for more runtimes. It integrates with Let's Encrypt for automatic SSL certificates and includes a simple web dashboard for monitoring app status and logs.

Dropserver is built by Teleclimber and released under the MIT license, making it fully open source. It targets developers who want to self-host multiple apps without the overhead of Kubernetes or complex orchestration. The project is still in early development, but its focus on simplicity and isolation is already attracting attention from the indie web hosting crowd.
