About Composio

Composio gives developers a way to hook AI agents up to real world tools and services without writing glue code. It handles authentication, API rate limits, and tool discovery so your agent can call Slack, Gmail, GitHub, or any REST API as if they were native functions. The platform supports multiple agent frameworks including LangChain, CrewAI, and AutoGen.

Under the hood Composio provides a managed registry of 200+ pre-built integrations, each with typed schemas that map directly to function calling interfaces. You get automatic OAuth token refresh, webhook management, and built-in retry logic. The SDKs are available for Python and TypeScript, and the open source core runs on your own infrastructure if you prefer self-hosting.

It is aimed at developers building autonomous agents, RAG pipelines, or automation workflows that need to interact with SaaS tools. Composio is open source under the MIT license with a hosted cloud option for teams that want managed authentication and scaling. The project was founded by a team of former engineers from BrowserStack and Postman.
