About CloudLinux OS
CloudLinux OS is a modified Linux distribution specifically built for shared hosting providers. Its core feature is the Lightweight Virtual Environment (LVE) technology that isolates each hosting account into its own container-like environment with strict CPU, memory, IO, and process limits.
This isolation means that when one customer's site gets a traffic spike or runs a bad script, it cannot bring down the entire server. Each account is capped to its allocated resources, which dramatically improves server stability and reduces the ""noisy neighbor"" problem that plagues shared hosting.
CloudLinux also includes CageFS (a virtualized file system per user that prevents users from seeing other accounts), PHP Selector (lets each account choose their PHP version from 5.x through 8.x), and MySQL Governor (prevents any single user from monopolizing the database server).
