  • Listing fees: Annual directory listing payments for hosting providers
  • Sponsored placements: Monthly fees for promoted positioning in the directory
  • Homepage features: Monthly fees for featured placement on the homepage
  • Ad slots: Monthly fees for advertising placements across the site
  • Toolkit listings: Fees for tool submissions and featured tool placements

3. Refund Window

All refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours from the exact time of payment. No exceptions will be made after this period has passed.

The 48-hour window begins at the moment your payment is confirmed by PayPal. You can find the exact payment timestamp in your order confirmation email and in your account's order history. We recommend reviewing your purchase promptly to ensure it meets your expectations.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit our Contact Page and submit a refund request
  2. Include your HostDir account email address
  3. Provide the order number or details of the product purchased
  4. Include your PayPal transaction ID (found in your PayPal account or confirmation email)
  5. Briefly describe the reason for your refund request

Our team will review your request and confirm eligibility based on the 48-hour refund window. You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been initiated.

5. Processing Time

Once your refund request is approved, the refund will be processed within 5 to 7 business days. The refund will be returned to the original PayPal account used for the purchase. Please note that the exact time it takes for the funds to appear in your account may vary depending on PayPal's processing times and your financial institution.

6. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • After 48 hours: Requests submitted after the 48-hour refund window has passed will not be honored
  • Services fully delivered and consumed: If the purchased service has been fully utilized during the refund window (for example, an ad campaign that has already run its full impressions)
  • Terms violations: If your account or listing was removed due to a violation of our Terms and Conditions, you are not eligible for a refund
  • Fraudulent purchases: Payments identified as fraudulent or made with unauthorized PayPal accounts

7. Chargebacks

We strongly encourage you to contact us directly through our Contact Page before filing a dispute or chargeback with PayPal. We are committed to resolving any issues promptly and fairly. Filing a PayPal dispute without first contacting us may delay the resolution process and could result in your account being suspended pending investigation. In most cases, we can resolve refund requests faster through direct communication than through the formal dispute process.
