About Bugsink

Bugsink is a self-hosted error tracking service that collects and organizes application exceptions in real time. It gives developers a central place to see crash reports, stack traces, and user impact. The tool is designed as an open source alternative to Sentry, with a focus on simplicity and data ownership.

It supports integrations with Python web frameworks like Django and Flask, as well as JavaScript frontends. Bugsink captures errors with full context including request data, environment details, and user information. The backend is built on Django and uses PostgreSQL for storage. You can deploy it on any Linux server using Docker or directly from source.

The project is maintained by Bugsink B.V. and released under the BSD 2-Clause license. It is free to use and modify. Bugsink is still in early development (v0.1.0) but already functional for small to medium deployments. Developers who want full control over their error data will find it a practical choice.
