About ArchiveBox
ArchiveBox is a self-hosted internet archiving solution that downloads and stores copies of websites, bookmarks, and feeds for long-term access. It works by capturing a page as several different formats at once: raw HTML, a PDF screenshot, a full-text extraction, and a WARC file for the archivists. You feed it a list of URLs and it quietly builds your own personal Wayback Machine.
It runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows inside Docker or directly with Python. You can pull links from browser bookmarks exports, Pocket, Pinboard, RSS feeds, or just paste them through the web UI. ArchiveBox stores everything as static files on your disk, so there's no lock-in and you can back it up with rsync. The project is actively maintained and has been around since 2017.
