About Aastro
It supports custom templates written in plain HTML and CSS, and lets you define navigation through a simple metadata file. Markdown files become pages with automatic table of contents generation and code syntax highlighting built-in. Aastro also handles image optimization and RSS feed creation out of the box. The project is written in Go and compiles to a single binary for Linux, macOS, and Windows.
This tool is best for developers who prefer to work with raw files and want a no-frills site generator without JavaScript in the output. It is free and open source under the MIT license. Aastro was started by Starwalkn and has a small but active community on GitHub.
