RFC 7996, “SVG Drawings for RFCs: SVG 1.2 RFC”, is an Informational document published in December 2016 by N. Brownlee. It has since been updated by RFC 9920. It has been obsoleted by RFC 9896 — refer to the newer document for the authoritative version. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
This document specifies SVG 1.2 RFC -- an SVG profile for use in diagrams that may appear in RFCs -- and considers some of the issues concerning the creation and use of such diagrams.
