YANG Module Library
RFC 7895, “YANG Module Library”, is a Proposed Standard document published in June 2016 by A. Bierman, M. Bjorklund, K. Watsen. It has been obsoleted by RFC 8525 — refer to the newer document for the authoritative version. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
This document describes a YANG library that provides information about all the YANG modules used by a network management server (e.g., a Network Configuration Protocol (NETCONF) server). Simple caching mechanisms are provided to allow clients to minimize retrieval of this information.
What “Proposed Standard” means
An entry-level standards-track specification: stable, peer-reviewed and a solid basis for implementation, though it may still evolve before becoming an Internet Standard.
