RIP Version 2
RFC 2453, “RIP Version 2”, is an Internet Standard document published in November 1998 by G. Malkin. It obsoletes RFC 1723. It has since been updated by RFC 4822. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
This document specifies an extension of the Routing Information Protocol (RIP) to expand the amount of useful information carried in RIP messages and to add a measure of security. [STANDARDS-TRACK]
