RFC 2327, “SDP: Session Description Protocol”, is a Proposed Standard document published in April 1998 by M. Handley, V. Jacobson. It has since been updated by RFC 3266. It has been obsoleted by RFC 4566 — refer to the newer document for the authoritative version. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
This document defines the Session Description Protocol, SDP. SDP is intended for describing multimedia sessions for the purposes of session announcement, session invitation, and other forms of multimedia session initiation. [STANDARDS-TRACK]
