RFC 2181, “Clarifications to the DNS Specification”, is a Proposed Standard document published in July 1997 by R. Elz, R. Bush. It updates RFC 1034, RFC 1035, RFC 1123. It has since been updated by RFC 2535, RFC 4033, RFC 4034, RFC 4035, RFC 4343, RFC 5452, RFC 8767. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
