IP Router Alert Option
RFC 2113, “IP Router Alert Option”, is a Proposed Standard document published in February 1997 by D. Katz. It has since been updated by RFC 5350, RFC 6398. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
This memo describes a new IP Option type that alerts transit routers to more closely examine the contents of an IP packet. [STANDARDS-TRACK]
