TCP alternate checksum options
RFC 1146, “TCP alternate checksum options”, is a Historic document published in March 1990 by J. Zweig, C. Partridge. It obsoletes RFC 1145. It has been obsoleted by RFC 6247 — refer to the newer document for the authoritative version. The canonical text is published by the RFC Editor.
Abstract
This memo is suggests a pair of TCP options to allow use of alternate data checksum algorithms in the TCP header. The use of these options is experimental, and not recommended for production use. Note: This RFC corrects errors introduced in the editing process in RFC 1145.

A specification that has been superseded or is otherwise no longer recommended for use.
