Belarusian post-election shutdown

After the disputed 9 August 2020 presidential election, Belarus authorities implemented an internet shutdown that severely restricted access to social media, news sites and messaging apps. The shutdown was technically implemented through a combination of DPI-based blocking and BGP-level disconnection. Documented by Cloudflare's traffic-graphs as a sharp drop in normal Belarusian internet activity.
