German anti-spam project. Three levels of escalation: L1 (individual IPs), L2 (entire /24 blocks), L3 (entire ASes). L1 is the most commonly used; L2 and L3 are aggressive and have higher false-positive rates.

Listing criteria

Direct spam sources observed by UCEPROTECT honey-pots. Highest-confidence list; relatively low false-positive rate.

How to query

For an IP address 1.2.3.4, query reversed-octets-dot-zone:

dig +short 4.3.2.1.dnsbl-1.uceprotect.net

A returned IP (such as 127.0.0.2) means listed. Each blocklist has its own set of return codes meaning different things; the operator's documentation explains theirs.
