.zm domain extension

The .zm domain is the country code top level domain (ccTLD) for Zambia. It is managed by the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA), the national ICT regulator. Registration is open to individuals and organizations worldwide through accredited registrars, though some registrars may require a local presence for certain subdomains. The domain supports WHOIS and RDAP lookups via whois.zicta.zm and rdap.nic.zm. ZICTA also operates the registry platform at registry.zicta.zm. The .zm namespace has been active since 1994 and was redelegated to ZICTA in 2014, bringing the management under the country's dedicated ICT authority.

The .zm domain was registered on March 25, 1994. In February 2014, the delegation was transferred to the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA), which took over administrative and technical operations from the previous manager.
