.xfinity
genericxfinity
.xfinity was a generic top-level domain owned by Comcast IP Holdings I, LLC. It was intended for Comcast's Xfinity brand and related services. The domain never went live in the root zone. Comcast applied for .xfinity during ICANN's new gTLD program to secure a branded web space. IANA revoked the domain in February 2024 after Comcast terminated the registry agreement. The domain was removed from the root zone entirely. No registrations were ever possible for the public. The domain extension existed only on paper after its initial delegation in July 2016. Comcast chose not to operate it, leaving .xfinity as an unused branded TLD. IANA records show its registration date of June 16, 2016, with revocation occurring about seven and a half years later.
