The .wtc domain extension is operated by the World Trade Centers Association, Inc., a nonprofit organization based in New York City. It is a sponsored generic top-level domain intended for entities that are part of or affiliated with the global network of World Trade Centers. The association restricts registration to its members, which include World Trade Center buildings and related trade organizations. This makes .wtc a closed, membership-only namespace rather than a public domain. Delegation took place in April 2014, giving WTCA control over registrations for its network of international trade hubs.
