Maserati (.maserati)

.maserati was a branded generic top-level domain intended for the luxury automobile manufacturer Maserati. It was delegated in 2016 to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V., the parent company at the time. As a branded TLD, it was meant to be used exclusively for Maserati related websites and communications, giving the company tight control over its online identity. However, the domain never made it into the root zone. By June 2023, IANA revoked the delegation, meaning .maserati is no longer an active TLD. It had a registration date of July 14, 2016, but was never operational.

The .maserati domain was part of ICANN's New gTLD Program, which allowed companies to apply for their brand as a top-level domain. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles secured the delegation in 2016. But unlike many branded TLDs that quietly launch, .maserati never went live. IANA's records show it was revoked in 2023, making it one of the shorter lived TLD delegations.
