.iwc domain extension

.iwc was a generic top-level domain (gTLD) sponsored by Richemont DNS Inc., a subsidiary of the Richemont luxury goods group. It was intended for use by IWC Schaffhausen, the Swiss watchmaker owned by Richemont. The domain was delegated in December 2014 but was revoked in June 2018, meaning it never became active in the root zone. As a brand gTLD, it would have restricted registration exclusively to IWC Schaffhausen and its authorised partners. No public registrations were possible.

The .iwc domain was part of ICANN's first round of new gTLD applications. Richemont applied for several brand-based TLDs. IWC Schaffhausen had used the iwc.com domain since the early days of the web, and .iwc was intended to give the brand a dedicated namespace. However, Richemont eventually chose not to implement the domain, leading to its revocation.
