.honeywell
generic
.honeywell was a generic top-level domain intended for Honeywell International and its affiliates. It was sponsored by Honeywell GTLD LLC. The domain was delegated in July 2016 but was never added to the root zone servers. ICANN revoked the delegation in June 2019, meaning .honeywell never actually worked as a public TLD. This was a brand TLD, part of ICANN's new gTLD program. Only Honeywell and its authorized partners could register domains under it. Because it never went live, there are no active websites using .honeywell. The whole thing serves as a footnote in the history of brand TLDs that were applied for and approved but never made it to the internet's core infrastructure.
History
Honeywell GTLD LLC applied for and received delegation of .honeywell from ICANN on July 22, 2016. The registry never installed the required name servers in the root zone. ICANN revoked the delegation less than three years later on June 6, 2019. The revocation essentially canceled the TLD entirely. No public resolution was ever possible.
Eligibility and restrictions
Only Honeywell International and its affiliates or authorized partners could register names. TLD was revoked before any registrations were possible.
