.cartier
generic
.cartier was a branded generic top-level domain intended for the luxury jewelry and watch company Cartier. It was sponsored by Richemont DNS Inc., the digital arm of Cartier's parent company. The domain was designed to be used exclusively by Cartier and its authorized partners for official online presence. Access to registration was restricted to the brand owner, so it never opened to the general public. The TLD was delegated in late 2014 but was later revoked in November 2019, meaning it no longer exists in the root zone. Since its removal, any previously registered domains under .cartier are no longer active.
History
Delegated to Richemont DNS Inc. on December 9, 2014, as part of ICANN's new generic TLD program. The domain was revoked on November 15, 2019, after less than five years of operation, making it one of the shorter-lived branded TLDs.
Eligibility and restrictions
Registration was restricted to Cartier and its authorized affiliates. Never open to public registration.
