A Point of Presence (PoP) is a physical edge location where Cloudflare terminates connections from end-users in this geography. End-user requests originating near Tampa are typically routed here via anycast or DNS-based steering, where the PoP serves cached content or proxies the request back to the origin server.

PoPs are identified by their nearest major-airport IATA code as a convention across the CDN industry. TPA refers to Tampa; multiple distinct PoPs often share the same IATA code when an operator runs several facilities in the same metro.
