Best domain registrar, surprisingly decent hosting
I originally came to Namecheap for domain registration (they're still the best value with free WhoisGuard). But I ended up trying their Stellar Plus shared hosting for a few blogs and it's been a pleasant surprise.
Performance is solid for the price — my WordPress blogs load in 2-3 seconds with basic caching. The cPanel interface is standard and familiar. Free SSL via Let's Encrypt is included.
Support is hit or miss. Live chat agents are friendly but sometimes lack technical depth. I've had a couple of tickets where I was bounced between departments.
For bloggers and small sites on a budget, it's genuinely hard to find better value. Just don't expect Kinsta-level managed experience.
